NewGEO optimization for marketing agencies: monitor and improve every client’s AI visibility from one white-label portalLearn more
Why GEO

Customers don't google anymore. They ask AI.

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) means making sure AI assistants mention your business when someone asks for advice. It's what SEO was for Google, but with different rules. Start now and you build a lead that's hard to close.

What's changing

One answer. Two or three names. Are you one of them?

From clicking to choosingIn a search engine, the customer picks from ten links. In an AI answer, the assistant picks for them: it names the businesses it trusts and explains why.
From ranking to reputationAI doesn't rank pages; it summarizes what trusted sources say about you. Your Google position barely counts; your mentions on comparison sites, directories and media count all the more.
From once to every timeEvery answer is new. Businesses that show up consistently and repeatedly in the right places get mentioned consistently. If you track it, you can steer it.

How AI decides who to mention

Not what you say. What others say about you.

When asked a question, an AI model searches the web, reads the most trusted pages and summarizes what they say. Three things decide whether your name makes it into that answer:

  • Sources. Are you listed on the comparison sites, directories and media AI cites in your market?
  • Direct answers. Does your site answer the exact question the customer asks, with numbers and terms?
  • Consistency. One name, one description, the same everywhere. Then AI is sure you're the answer.
Why now

The head start is still there. In a year, it won't be.

In most markets, almost nobody is deliberately working on AI visibility yet. The businesses that track today and claim the sources will be the names AI mentions by default. Undoing that is harder than building it.

1TrackWithout tracking, you don't know whether AI mentions you, let alone why. GeoReady tracks three times a week on four AI models.
2ClaimThe sources AI cites are limited. Whoever gets there first stays there. Every missing source is a concrete action.
3Keep upAI answers shift. Alerts, trends and a monthly report keep you sharp without logging in every day.
FAQ

GEO in plain English.

Is GEO the same as SEO?+

No. SEO is about your position in search results. GEO is about getting mentioned in AI answers. Good SEO helps (a fast site, clear structure), but AI chooses on different signals: mentions on sources it trusts, direct answers and consistency.

How long until I get mentioned?+

Technical actions often work within one to two weeks. A new listing on a comparison site or directory usually shows up within two to six weeks. Your own pages need four to eight weeks. That's why we measure the effect of every action after thirty days.

Which AI models count?+

GeoReady tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude through their APIs, with web search on. You choose which models you track.

Is this for small businesses too?+

Especially. AI often mentions local and specialist businesses by name, as long as they're on the right sources. With 50 prompts, you know where you stand within a week.

What if AI says something wrong about me?+

You'll see it in the chats, with the source sentence and the source. An action helps you correct the source and publish the right answer yourself; then we track whether AI picks it up.
