The questions your customers actually ask.
A prompt is a question you track. We suggest them from your business profile and website, and you add what you hear from customers. Grouped into topics and tags, you see where you win or lose per theme.
What you track decides what you see
Tracking is only as good as the questions you ask. Track “What is a heat pump?” and you measure how well AI explains a concept, not whether it recommends your business. The questions that drive revenue are the ones where an AI model has to name businesses: “Which installer in Arlington is good with ductless heat pumps?”
Those questions differ by business, by service area and by stage in the buying journey. Someone researching asks something different from someone who wants a quote today. And what customers ask shifts with the seasons, rebate programs and the news.
That's why prompts in GeoReady aren't a fixed list. You build them with our helper model from your business profile, organize them by topic and tag, and adjust them when your market changes.
“The best prompt is a question your customer really asks—one where AI has to pick a business.
Start with prompts built from your business profile
No blank page. The helper model reads your business profile—industry, services, location, competitors—and writes specific comparison questions: questions where an AI model names real businesses right away. You choose how many suggestions you want.
Branded suggestions use your name plus your domain, so the AI model knows exactly which business you mean. Existing prompts are skipped, so you can generate new suggestions anytime.
Already have a list from sales calls or keyword research? Paste it in as a CSV import: one prompt per line, optionally with topic, type and intent. Or add a single prompt with New prompt.
- Have the helper model create suggestions and choose how many
- Replace suggested template prompts that haven't been tracked yet, in one go
- Import a CSV list with topic, type (branded/non-branded) and intent
- Add a single prompt and set its country and language right away
For every prompt, the odds AI mentions you
Every prompt gets a win rate: the share of runs for that one prompt in which you're mentioned. A 50% win rate means you show up in half the answers. Since AI answers change every time, that's a fairer picture than a yes or no from one question.
Next to the win rate, the prompts table shows the change from the previous period, your average position, sentiment, number of runs and when the prompt was last tracked. Sort by win rate and you instantly see where you're strong and where you barely show up.
The prompt detail shows win rate over time per AI model, the businesses that appear in the answers, the most cited sources and the latest answers themselves. That's where you read why you are—or aren't—mentioned for that question.
- Sort prompts by win rate, text or date and see the change from the previous period
- Open a prompt to see its win rate over time, per AI model
- See which businesses appear in the answers and which sources get cited most
- Click through from a prompt to every chat for that prompt
- Export your prompts with their metrics
See what AI models look up before they answer
Before an AI model answers, it often searches the web first. Those searches are called fan-outs. ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude return them with their answers; Perplexity doesn't. GeoReady captures them with every answer and ranks them for you.
Fan-outs reveal which search terms you need to own. A customer asks for “the best installer in the area,” and the AI model may search for “heat pump installer Loudoun County reviews.” Rank well for that query and your odds of making the answer go up.
For every search query, you see how often it ran, on how many AI models, under which topic, and how often you were mentioned in the answers it fed. You also see which business names show up in the queries themselves—yours, or a competitor's.
- See the most frequent search queries, with topic and how often you were mentioned
- See the average number of search queries per answer, per AI model
- Spot the words that recur most in AI models' search queries
- See which businesses appear most in search queries—and whether you're one of them
- Filter chats to answers that used web search
Location, archive and plan capacity
Every prompt belongs to a location: a country plus a language, like United States · English or United Kingdom · English. Want to track the same question in two countries? That's two prompts. Extra countries count toward your prompt limit.
When a prompt stops being relevant, archive it. Archived prompts aren't tracked anymore and don't count toward your plan, but their history stays, and you can restore them in one click. Deleting also erases the tracking history; archiving keeps everything.
That way, your prompt set stays current without losing your history. The free trial includes 35 prompts; on a paid plan, your plan sets the number.
- Set the country and language for each prompt
- Archive prompts and restore them later, history included
- Edit a prompt's text, topic and tags from the prompt detail
- See how many active prompts you have against your plan
How Prompt Tracking works.
Northfield Heating & Air builds a prompt set that sells
Northfield Heating & Air starts its free trial with 35 prompts. After a week, it's clear half of them are general how-it-works questions—while revenue comes from quote requests.
- 1Suggest
The helper model writes comparison questions from the profile, like “Which installer in Reston does hybrid heat pump systems?” Northfield swaps out the untracked template prompts.
- 2Organize
Every prompt gets a topic (Heat pumps, Rebates, Maintenance, AC) and a tag per city. The topics page shows Northfield strong on Maintenance (58%) and weak on Rebates (14%).
- 3Search queries
For rebate prompts, ChatGPT searches for “federal heat pump tax credit installer Virginia.” Northfield has no page on it. Summit Climate Co. does.
- 4Adjust
Two informational prompts that never surface a business go to the archive. Three transactional prompts about quotes come in. The set now has 38 prompts, and every one of them says something about revenue.
Every number traces back to the exact prompts.
Questions about Prompt Tracking.
Another question? Email info@geoready.nl.How many prompts do I need?+
For a local business, 25 to 50 prompts about your main services is enough. Larger markets or multiple locations call for 150 or more.
Can I track prompts in multiple countries?+
Yes. A location is a country plus a language. The same prompt in two countries counts as two prompts.
