Be the local business AI recommends.

“Which HVAC company near me is reliable?” More customers ask ChatGPT that question instead of Google. The answer names two or three businesses. GeoReady shows whether you’re one of them, per city and per AI model, and what to do to get in.

Why it matters now

The customer picks from two names. Is yours one of them?

A shorter shortlistGoogle gave ten links and a map. AI gives two or three businesses with a reason attached. There is no fourth spot.
Every city is differentYou can be named in Alexandria and missing in Fairfax. Without tracking per service area, you don’t know where you’re losing customers.
Invisible in your analyticsA customer referred by AI calls you directly or searches your name. You don’t see that path in your analytics, and you don’t see who you missed.
What you actually see

Five pages behind one local answer.

For local questions, AI leans on review sites, directories, map profiles and local media, and only then on your own site. GeoReady shows which sources built each answer, per prompt and per city, and whether you’re on them.

  • See which pages built each answer, and whether one of them is yours.
  • Check whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude read the same sources, or four different sets.
  • Get an action for every missing source: who to contact, with what pitch.

The sources in your market

This is where AI gets its answer.

Review sites and contractor platformsWhere customers compare quotes and leave reviews. AI reads both the rating and the review text.
Map and business profilesHours, service area, category and photos. Mistakes here show up word for word in AI answers.
Trade associations and license lookupsLicenses and certifications are a strong trust signal for AI.
Local media and city pagesStories about local pros and rebate pages get cited a lot for questions that include a city name.
Forums and neighborhood platformsWhat residents say. Small, but AI models read them for “who do you recommend?” questions.
Where the work goes

Three ways into the answer. Cheapest first.

Questions

FAQ: local services

Another question? Email info@geoready.nl.
Does this bring in calls and quote requests?+

An AI recommendation works like word of mouth: the customer gets your name with a reason and often reaches out right away. You won’t always see that as a click in your analytics, so we measure it at the source, in the answers themselves.

Which prompts should I track first?+

Start with your main services in your own city and the cities around it, plus urgency and cost questions (“how much does…”, “who can come today…”). GeoReady suggests them based on your website and service area.

Are answers different per city?+

Yes. A question with “in Alexandria” gets different businesses and sources than the same question without a city. That’s why you track your services per city in your service area.

AI shows outdated info about my business. What now?+

It usually comes from a source: an old business profile, a directory or your own site. The chat shows which source the AI model used; the action tells you what to fix and where.

Do I have to pay for directory listings?+

No. Many sources AI cites are free to claim or update. GeoReady shows for each source whether there’s a free way to get listed.

What’s the difference with local SEO?+

Local SEO is about your spot on the map and in search results. AI visibility is about the answer: which two or three businesses get recommended, and why. The basics overlap, but the sources and the tracking differ.

Do you do the work for me?+

Every action comes with steps, copy and code. You do it yourself or have your agency do it; they can follow along in the agency portal.

Your customers already ask AI for a pro. Make sure it names you.
